:-)o 10 Month Braceaversary!! :-)o

Its been a while since I updated my progress here, and quite a bit has changed.

I got four links of powerchain on the bottom last time to start closing the gap and I really happy that it has completely closed!

Also, Mr T had turned around a bit more and is quite well lined up now! :D

You probably noticed the latest addition to the hardware - elastics!
The elastics, together with a full powerchain on top should start closing the two huge extraction gaps.

I am sooo happy to finally be at the stage where the gaps will start to shrink! :D

Of course there is a down-side. There is a significant, 24/7 ache due to the extra forces being applied. Hopefully that will settle over the next couple of days as usual.

My usual orthodontist no longer works in my local practice, and I am now being treated by the practice owner.
Yesterday it was implied that the original estimate of 30 months was longer than expected! :lol:
I really hope that is the case :)

I can't believe it is almost a whole year since I posted here last!

Any, a little update for you :)
All gaps are closed!!!

I did have an appointment scheduled for this afternoon (in which I was expecting my release date) however my Ortho is out of the country and unable to fly home due to the ash cloud :(

Will try to remember to post some pics when I get home from work today :)

Hi Rob, I just got caught up on your story. It's been a while since I've checked in, and I was amazed at your progress. I was wondering how things were going to go with Mr. T, and he's really in line now. Nice! It will be great to hear when your end date will be. A happy day to look forward to indeed!

Just returned from my appointment.

:-)o Great news! Braces will be off next visit in a couple of weeks!!! :-)o
This will be 7 months before my estimated completion date! :)

Impressions were taken today for my bonded retainers, which I will be getting on top and bottom.
No pics, because nothing has changed since last time, but I can confirm that there are no gaps, and my bite "fits" properly.

I'm really excited now that there is light at the end of the tunnel :D
