It's terrible weather here, constant rain and quite cold - my boiler has broken down so can't turn the heating on, but with an adjustment coming up in 9 days life has to be good!!

Ken:
I can tell my life's hectic when I don't keep up with my "fellow back rollers." Of course the way I view it, when everyone ahead of us crashes and burns we'll drive right through it.....a few laps down. I'm a week away from two years in wires. (EEK got my spacers two years ago today, how can I remember that and not the year my ten year old was born?) As for who comes in last, I'm it. I'm still waiting on surgery approval and teeth ready to have my jaws broken. Then I have a year or so after that.

Enough about that, how's the racing going? Can you actually afford the gas to make the tow?

Mike
I wore braces (this time) for 1294 days or 3 years, 6 months and 17 days.
But who's counting?

My only drag racer was a bike.... had a three hour tow to the nearest strip. That's why I'm so aware of tow costs. That strip had a NASTY dip just past the finish line. I should have known something was wrong when I saw Roberta Schultz launch the body on her Mustang II. Dumb me didn't pay attention to it....not what to do on a struted bike. Ran it twice. Then it slowly disappeared.

Wow! Bug difference, I'll say! Very nice, Mike! I love your powerchain colors, too, BTW.

New molar bands, a TTT device AND elastics in your near future!!! Your plate will certainly be full. (Well.....maybe not literally!) Yes, you will have to let us know how it goes next Tuesday. I would like to see photos of the dreaded TTT device, too, if you think of it.

Andi
PS & Off Topic, That horse I adopted from Mountaineer Race Track & Resort near you last winter is turning out FABULOUS!!! I just love him!
Braced 5-30-07 for 18-24 months
In-Ovation Uppers, Metal Lowers, TPA upper arch, Lower Lingual arch, no elastics.

Wow, wow, wow Ken!! Your teeth look terrific!! It's great to see the transformation you've gone through and I love your pic of lig/PC colours.

Hopefully your tongue thrust device won't be as bad as you anticipate. I guess after all you've gone through, you'll handle it like a pro  .
Keep smilin'! :)

Wow Ken! Your before and after pictures are amazing! Your teeth look so nice now, it's hard to believe you still have a ways to go. You must be very happy with your progress.

I don't know what a tongue thrust is, or what the device is that you have to wear to deal with it. It sounds miserable though. How long will you have to wear it?

Good luck!

bracedagain wrote:Hi KARESS,

Thanks a bunch!!

That's pretty cool that your Dad got to try out for Pinks! A guy that races at my local track went to Pinks when they were in Summit Raceway Park in Norwalk OH. and got picked and wound up winning the race. Him and his wife were at our track the next week with their Pinks T-shirts on and everybody was congratulating them. That would be so cool! Even just to be trying out to get in the show. Some friends went to watch and said it was Awesome!

What track did your Dad go to, to try out?

I'd like to see a couple of pix of your Dads cars if you get a chance!

Later! Ken.

We went to the one in Atlanta
at the Atlanta Speedway in Commerce, Ga.

& i'll round up some pictures of cars he has now
& some that hes built & sold
Hes like a race car fanatic
Hes been building race cars since he was in his 20's.
We have like motors and carparts everywhere its pathetic, lol.
& The Summit store is like 45 minutes away from us which doesnt make it any better.

Yes i did read the entier story from pg. 1 to 60!! But then again i don't do anything at work except anwser a phone, so reading stories makes the time go by faster. I'm glad that I did finally decide to go through with getting braces (eventually), if i hadn't found this web site with all of the encouraging stories and the comments then i probably would have backed out again. Today is my second consultation with Ortho2 and i liked him alot better than ortho1 at the first consultation, so we will see what he says.

OKAY!
Sorry it took so long to get the pictures but my dad just so happen to pull one of his cars out to clean the garage so I took a picture of it.
Its of 1 of his Novas

The other cars that he own are at an industrial park because we have too many cars in our yard to make them fit.

Oh and you can also see his 2 Z28s..one is Green and one is purple.
I thought the Malibu was here but i guess he moved it to the industrial park too..thats the one I really wanted to show.
Its green ..i forgot what year it is..I think 78, 77, 87. One of those.
but its a nice body style and everyone wants to buy it when he takes it for a test pass on Friday nights or Race on Sundays.

Anywho, it is...
