Woo Hoo!!! You're finally braced! I'm sorry that one of your brackets fell off, but that happens. I went through that when they wouldn't stick to my crowns, so I eventually had to get bands. It's no big deal. Even if that one tooth is naked, the rest of your teeth have started their journey.

CONGRATS!!!!!!!

Aw, hun. It was worth it. You're prolly just upset by the process and everything, I was upset those first few days too because it just felt like I was never going to get used to them.

Your teeth will look beautiful when this is over. He can take care of that bracket no sweat. I've got three teeth in my mouth with brackets but not attached to the archwire cause they can't reach. But they'll come in their own time, and your naked tooth now heck, will come even sooner cause he'll fix it up for you. I read on a paper my ortho gave me it's normal for a bracket or two to come off during the time.

You won't regret it. When its done you'll see your teeth like you've never seen them before. And pink is a goodly color! Very pretty! 8)

Happy Brace Day Peggy! Your brace day is the same as my birthday! Yay!

Don't get too down about the bracket. It all feels so alien at first that the littlest thing is bound to make you feel like you're wasting you're time, but you're NOT! Before you know it you'll have a beautiful smile 8) Good job diving in and choosing color - love the pink!

Ohhh Myyyy Gooosh! I have been trying to get on here all flippin day and it kept giving me some debug somethinoranother!

So CONGRATULATIONS on your beautiful new braces!!! I absolutely LOVE the color. Very very pretty!!! Try not to get too depressed about the bracket. I'm sure that it is common. Especially at the beginning with teeth out of line. I was afraid one of my front teeth ones would come off, too. I don't think it was from brushing to hard. Just hang in there. It'll get better. I'm so sorry that I wasn't able to respond earlier today. I feel like I should have been there for you. I tried. I really did. Stupid internet!!! :? But anyway, congrats again!! And many many big hugs, too. :D

YAY! Pink! I love it. :)

Don't worry about the broken bracket. Just call your ortho and see what they say. Doc didn't even bother with brackets on a few of my teeth because there wasn't enough room to squeeze them in yet. So your ortho may just decide to wait, or she might be able to get you in for an emergency repair. I think sometimes they build a little buffer time between their day's bookings for emergency fixes. (My ortho had a kid stop by during my bracing to fix a popped-off rubber band or something.) You'll be fine. :)

Anyway, you're official now! :)

First I wanna thank you all for helping me get over the broken bracket! ... I went to the ortho today to get it fixed and to get some wires bent out of the way too :) They were so nice there ... she said that it fell off because of a possable 1 million causes but not that i brushed too hard so now im not too afraid to actually brush my teeth!!!... but i am afraid to eat! jello and pudding (both sugar free) have been my best friends!

Thank you all again so much!!! ... its very different... but much better then spacers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can soooo get used to these... just not the eatting just yet... hmmm

Yippee! I'm so glad you got your bracket fixed so quickly, and your ortho was able to reassure you that you didn't cause it. Now you can get back to the serious business of enjoying your braces and being happy about them. :D Love the pink ligs too - very cheerful!

Congrats! They look great :)

You can't face eating? To be quite honest, eating is the way to get used to eating. It feels weird at first, but you do need to chew, as that helps things settle in by promoting blood flow and stimulating your teeth and gums. You may find that it hurts to chew at first, which is normal, but don't quit chewing altogether! Just chew softer foods for a couple of days until you get back to normal.

I guess I was lucky because I could eat almost 100% normally on day one :D

Good luck :D

Yay! Congrats they look great. I can't wait to join all you newly braced next week. Sorry to hear that you got bummed about the bracket, but that's great they got it fixed so fast and reassured you that it wasn't your fault at all.

Right now my spacers are kicking my butt. I just got them in yesterday, so I cannot wait to be at the point you are at.

Yeah the braces are MUCH MUCH MUCH better then spacers... i am getting some sores and what not but wax is helping:) my front bottom tooth (the one that almost got extracted) it jutting out so bad with the bracket that it keeps cutting my lip so when i went back yesterday to fix the bracket.. I also had them put a silver lig around it and it feels a little better...

I been living off of lotswater and chap stick! I been sluring my words a little when im talking but its bearable i guess.... sometimes i kinda feel like this : Image

but i cant wait till i feel like this: Image

ya know... like normal in the braces... not like im in some cage... so anyways i'll be keeping yous all posted! <3
