Hi Linda21!

I can't believe that powerchain was "on to you" canceling that appointment, and decided not to last until your adjustment after all.

I'm jealous of your every four week schedule, as right now I have an eight week wait for my next adjustment, which feels like an eternity!

You must be so happy to have answers to many of your questions. And venting is good too.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that the little gap closes.....c'mon, close......close.......close......close.....chant with me. Oh, and I just saw pics of the gap closure-WOW, that is terrific and looking great!

Sorry the elliptical broke....must be the week for that, as my Waterpik broke. It doesn't keep me in shape at all like your elliptical, but I need it just as much.

Okay, my dinner is waiting (and let me blame low blood sugar if anything I said didn't make sense!).

Hi Linda, what a loss it must have been after 18 years!
We have lost also one "furry kid" of ours - who was born in our house - at 2,5 years, he had FIP ( I hope you don't know what it is...)

But back to braces, elastics for 24/7, now I started to imagine what it can be like  They must do the wonder for THAT gap!!!

Good testing with your ortho  You should try it next time as well! :D

I wish continuous progress for you, and a closed gap for Xmas!

You've still got your humour at 18 months, I hope it's the same for me when I get to that mark!

So you're getting very very close to the end, huh? How exciting!

Question. What does shaving accomplish? Is it another way of making crowded teeth fit?

Wow, Linda21, your adjustments just are sounding better and better! I'm glad to hear that my chanting helped a little with that one gap closing. :D Now if only my own teeth would listen.

I bet you can really feel that doubling up of elastics one on side at night. How fantastic that you are not clenching so much now. :jump: I'm super happy for you about that, because I know how much it hurts.

Your ortho sounds really fun, and is clearly very pleased with your progress! Image Yeah, asking him outright would kind of take the fun out of it. You are stronger than you think! I feel similarly about my orthos, that they are very down to earth, fun and lighthearted, but really know their stuff. They are on a first-name basis with their patients, and try really hard to make the whole experience pleasant. It is nice, isn't it?

Sorry you are so sore (though hopefully by the time I've typed this, you are feeling at least a bit better and able to attack those sultanas).

I'll really be crossing my fingers for you you that the powerchains stay the course until your next adjustment.

So you will have some IPR next time? That is exciting--things are really moving along for you!

I'll keep checking in (but you know that!). :D

Hi Linda,

First, thank you for checking out my thread and for your nice comments.

I've been reading your story with great interest for a while, and wanted to really get the whole picture before posting on your thread. You seem to be very close to the end of treatment, and that little game with your ortho must be as much fun for him as for you! He must be grateful you don't give him the usual "When will I be free?" question with the pleading eyes.

Your teeth are going to look fantastic when you're done! And it must be really nice to have a bite when your previously had none. I hope your next adjustment will bring you great news

Hey Linda! LOL Your ortho. seems pretty nice. So he didn't told you anything at all? Just said that? I mean it's a pretty good answer. I think he doesn't want to give you false hopes like he could say it's in 2 months and then you'd have to wait a bit longer. That would suck. That's why I prefer not to know...! Whenever she'll say "we're almost there" that's when I'm gonna worry back again!

I hope you get to have to time to post some pictures soon! I love seeing everyone's teeth and progress!

Let us know what happens on your January 22nd adjustment! And Thank you so much for all of your positive feedback in my story! You've helped me so much!

Luv,

Joanna

Glad to see you, Linda21! Missed 'ya!

I could swear I posted in your journal more recently than the top of the last page, but apparently not?! I hope your holidays were wonderful.

May this next year bring you only good things in every area of your life, including and especially happy news about your braces/treatment.

Thank you for all of the support, help, and smiles you have given me in 2006. :D

Wonderful news on the approximate freedom day, Linda! It's great that you get to be earlier than expected, I'm envious. :P :D
You're teeth are looking good, looking forward to more, preferably naked ones!
I expect I will be in elastics at the end of my journey as well. I'm only guessing because none of my molars meet except the naked back ones and although my ortho has never mentioned it before. :?
Anyway, hope there's lots more progress... for an even earlier release maybe!? :D

What, what a lucky 13th adjustment, Linda21! :D

First and foremost, look at your ticker!!! The end is in sight, with a debanding date up and coming, early even!! Lucky 13th adjustment indeed. You must be so glad that you've never asked, as I'm sure you're enjoying that news that much more.

Wow, that pesky GAP has closed? Way! I'm so happy to hear this.

It sounds like the IPR wasn't unpleasant, especially not if you were practically stifling a giggle. Hope that it works wonders for you!

Graduating to those V elastics will be exciting, because you'll be that much closer to the end!

Good research on the upper centrals/lower centrals question! Good enough for me. I mean that!

Love the photos--thank you for those. Your teeth look amazing--I can't wait to see them without braces on.

Lastly, glad to hear you are getting your java fix again! I have coffee every morning, but lately I've been craving black tea in the middle of the day so much that I can't wait for the middle of the day!

Okay, must get off of the computer now so hope I didn't miss anything.
