NEW TO THE FORUM

HELLO ALL.....
I AM 25 YEARS OLD AND JUST RECENTLY GOT BRACES AND I WENT FOR MY FIRST AJUSTMENT AND THEY ALREADY GAVE ME RUBBER BANDS...
IS THAT A GOOD THING OR A BAD THING???


I HAVE A CLASS II OVERBITE AND I THINK I HAVE LITTLE BIT OF AN OVERJECT.... THEY PUT ME ON A 2 YR. PLAN BUT IM HOPEING THAT SINCE I ALREADY GOT RUBBER BANDS, IT MEANS EITHER... MY BITE IS REALLY BAD OR MAYBE NOT AS BAD AS I THINK???
I ALSO HAVE CROWDING.... ANY INFO WOULD BE GREAT ....

i could do that.. but since im new to the forum... i dont know if it will allow me to do that???

also i was reading some of the other topics but i cant see some of the pictures that are posted.... i guess because im new to the forum???

how do i post a picture???

Rubber bands may be introduced at any stage of treatment; they are not, by themselves, a sign of things going faster or slower than estimated.

i can reply packersfan, but thats all i can do...i cant even put me and avatsr picture up bc it says its disabled??? also when i do this reply... i dont see file name... ???

No, it's not a rule for the forum. I just find posts easier to read when the proper cases are used.

I got rubber bands at my second adjustment as well. I've had 3 different configurations over my first year and only one length of time between adjustments without the rubber bands. Welcome to the braces journey.

First, welcome! I've had elastics since day 1. My ortho just said it gets the work done quicker, so why not. I've had for 5 mos, but he just switched me to night time only for one side and 24/7 for the other side. I'm glad! One side during the day is 50% easier to deal with. :-)
