Would my teeth be right for Invisalign?

I have been interested in getting Invisalign for over a year now. I am finally coming close to actually getting them. I will be turning 21 next year and would like to have perfectly straight teeth because it is about that time now. My teeth aren't bad or anything. The bottom is nice but the top is a little space out for the first few teeth. Also, my last tooth on the top on both sides (I forgot the name of it because I'm tired and it is 4 in the morning) are not align right. They are kinda sticking out a little furthur then the other teeth. It isn't a requirement for me to fix my teeth, like nobody has ever notice that they are space out a little, but I want for them to be 100% for myself. Anyways below are pictures of my teeth. Let me know if Invisalign is right for me.

I can't edit posts, I forgot to mention that I read several posts on here saying that after using Invisalign there teeth still wasn't perfect or eventually kinda went back to how it was. I don't know how their mouth look, but I don't want to get Invaslign if it is only going to be a quick fix. I want to get it done once and have that be it for my teeth. Straight teeth for life

It's difficult to tell if Invisalign would work for you. From what I read on Invisalign's web site and the before and after pictures I thought that it would work for me, but an orthodonist said it wouldn't.

My advice is to schedule consultations with at least 2 orthodontists. You want more than one opinion because one ortho may say it's $5000 and another may say it's $3500.

Whatever you do, please make sure that you see an orthodontist and not a dentist trained in Invisalign.

Last week a dentist trained in Invisalign told me that it would straighten my teeth. (When I called my dental office to make an appt., I assumed that it would be an orthodontist, but when I looked at his business card I saw that he's a dentist.) Today an orthodontist who does Invisalign told me that I am not a candidate. I have an upcoming appointment with another orthodontist to get another opinion.

Yes, my upper teeth come down infront of the bottom teeth. But I am not concern about making the top and bottom align perfectly, I know I should be but it has caused me zero problems in my life. So if that could be fix then perfect, but I never felt like it was something that was required to be fix, I didn't even think about it until you posted about it lol.

My main goal is to clear up the spacing between each tooth. The spacing isn't bad as you can tell from the pictures so I was hoping that Invisalign would be able to put them together easily. I don't want to do anything metal related lol. I'm turning 20 in a few months so I don't want a metal mouth lol.

I will defintely get the opinion of at least two orthodontists about this.

Only an orthodontist who has personally examined you can determine what sort of treatment would be best for you. I agree that 2 to 3 consultations is always good. That way you can see what your different options may be.

You also have to keep in mind that "braces" are not just about making your teeth look good. Theyare about making your bite function normally -- that is, the way your upper and lower teeth meet. If you bite is "off," it can lead to much bigger problems. Orthodontists treat not only the way your teeth look, but the way they function within your jaw.

I have a quick question. Does anyone here know anything about OrthoClear braces? They seem to be just like Invisalign, so I wanted to know anyone here who has experience with Invisalign knows anything about OrthoClear. Like which one is better because they seem to be the same thing to me.

Thanks! I am reading this long topic at another website, six pages long with a lot of information. So far the two are the same and were created by the same person.

I read on Orthoclear that they have buttons on it, but on their main website I didn't see them on the pictures. I haven't read anything about Invisalign having something like this, so do they have any buttons or anything on the trays?

Hi cwilson,

Posting this a bit late you have probs already been to your ortho.
i am due to get invisalign in 4 weeks, have had ,my moulds done and everything.

Your teeth look pretty similar to mine except mine also flare out at the sides. My teeth dont join directly on top of eachother but like yourself that wasn't my main concern, i just wanted the spacing sorted. I went for 3 diff consultation re every sort of braces available and all three orthodontists were also trained in invisialign and all three said that i was a candidate for invisalign.

The invisalign were 500 euro dearer that the metal braces also.
