So, I just found out that this 1 year 6 month process will be longer than I anticipated or "thought".
I have to get a tooth extracted at the 23 tray=69 weeks. After I get that tooth extracted, then they do my moldings again and I start the second part of my treatment
I found out that the trays that I have now are just the first part of my treatment.
After the tooth is extracted at the 69 week, I will have to wear them for addditional 6 months - 1 year. (this is only the bottom)
He said my uppers will be completed with the first treatment of 51 weeks.
So that is a total of about 2 years for my bottom teeth of invisalign.

why extract the tooth now would it not have been better at the start like i had, 2 from top and 2 from bottom. I dont know if it is an american thing but it seems than most people in here have there teeth shaved during teeth movements and not extractions mabe its because they only do it on quite bad crowding who knows.

1 more thing because of my extractions it takes a year just dealing with closing the gaps before they move any front teeth, wont do much for moral

I dont know why they are waiting so long.
About the shaving question... they are shaving my teeth for more room. I see my doctor on Saturday and I will ask why they are waiting, instead of just doing it now.
I am thinking it is this.... I have two crowded teeth on the bottom. One of tooth has been pushing with the trays backwards towards my tounge and the other teeth are moving sideways to let the second tooth straighten out. So, my teeth will be straight once this one particular tooth is almost behind the others. They will pull this tooth (that is behind the others)
I think the doctor doesnt want such a huge gap in the beginning stages and wants to wait until my other teeth straighten out and hide this other tooth. Does that make sense? Its hard to explain without you seeing my teeth. Basically I just think he doesnt want me to have a huge gap right now, when it can be a fairly small hole once my front teeth straighten.
