third adjustment

#1 Post by Al Carter »

I had my third adjustment yesterday.
The ortho left the spring on the bottom to continue making space for a tooth to be rotated.
But I was excited when he said he would put the steel wire on my uppers with the power chain and told me that this was doing the final work to close the space from two extractions and start moving my teeth (bite) back.

Basically my upper teeth are straight but with a substantial overjet, my lowers contain one tooth that requires rotation - so I am somewhat of an easy job.

Has anyone else had experience of this and am I wrong in imagining that I might be out of braces within the 18 month period told me by my dentist? Has anyone been debraced earlier than they anticipated.

I have a big and important wedding on May 2007 and I want to go without braces!!!!!
