Has anyone noticed that they've gotten pickier about their teeth the further they go with braces? I remember when I first got mine on and my bottom teeth were semi-straight I thought "Who cares if this is as straight as they get! I'd be happy!" And now that they are completely straight I still pick them apart and think that this and that tooth could be a little more the the left ect. And when I meet people the first thing I look at is their teeth and the first thing I tell my boyfriend about someone is how bad/good their teeth are. This is starting to get ridiculous! I've become OBSESSED!
Yes, this is happening to me too. I always compare my teeth to other peoples like "HOW are her teeth so straight??? I bet they're veneers!!!" etc etc. It's getting annoying, actually.
Yeah, I'm the same. I feel like I've put in so much time pain and effort that I'll accept nothing short of perfection. It's really starting to annoy me, I wish I could just be happy however they turn out but heck it's been 40 months and so I feel like I've put waaaaay too much time into this to just come out with a mediocre result.
I wish I could change that but I can't. It's just like anything else in life, the more you put into something, the more you want out of it.

Yeah this is happening to me, particularly as my boyfriend appears to have been blessed with the most perfect teeth you've ever seen on a person. Very annoying, but then I look at my teeth and compared to what they used to look like, I;m happy that they have actually improved.
I guess you do get pickier as the time goes by because you wonder "can he get it all done in the time frame he first mentioned or will I suffer the curse of 'just one more month'....over and over again."
