I was wondering if anyone has ever experience a little bit of bleeding when a tooth is moving. I've noticed the past few days that my lowers are really loose, so they must be moving (shifting position). Ouch, man do they hurt! I've been spitting out blood.....usally when I brush, and yes, I have been gentle[not overbrushing] My teeth are too sensitive for that!!!
Anyway, let me know if this is normal. Also, it looks like my teeth are shifting in a weird way. Does this happen before they go "straight"??
Thanks for the advice!!

Yep my gums are a bit more sensitive and bleed more than they used to. And my lower teeth look mental at the moment, all over the palce and gappy, but I'm sure it'll all come right in the end.
I think it might be a good idea to let your ortho take a look. I had one episode with a tooth that had bleeding and I think it was more from the band irritation than the movement.
I would at least get your ortho's opinion. I haven't had any bleeding (other than a fish bone a few nights ago.... OUCH!) other than once or twice when over-brushing.
I too would ask the Ortho. My understanding is that if tooth is bleeding from flossing more than 2 days in a row it could be sign of a problem. My teeth have bled once in awhile while flossing but it never goes more than 1 or 2 days and there has never been enough to see when spitting into the sink. My teeth were moving alot because I had a spring between two of my bottom teeth.

This may sound weird but my teeth are more likelymto bleed depending on the time of the month it is.
In the week before that time, my teeth bleed easily when brushed - of course it could be because I'm premenstrual and am brushing harder - who knows????
Thanks for all of the advice.
I really think this tooth is moving ALOT and could be the source of the bleeding. It isn't much[only with brushing] But boy does this particular tooth hurt!! I have a spring between two teeth - and then the next tooth is the one hurting. So, I'll give the ortho a call. Rather be safe than sorry!! Thanks guys!!!!
