Surgeon Review - Carlos Villegas Bateman

#1 Post by aghummel90 »

Not a good experience for me at all. I had surgery with him in 2018 in Medellin, Colombia. His clinic is called Vibart Clinic.

The highlights:
+ Maxilla overimpaction. Less than 0 mm incisor display at rest.
+ Lower lip ptosis. All my lower teeth show down to the gum line at rest.
+ Chin overadvanced. Very unnatural looking chin.

I will require revision of upper, lower and genio.

PM me for more details if you would like, but please, if you’re reading this, think doubly before proceeding.

How long ago was your surgery? Was it in the last 3 months?

Very sorry to hear that it turned out poorly. I'm sure there are some very talented surgeons in Colombia (Bogotá most likely) that will be able to do a revision for you, and if you can fly to Miami that might be a good option, even if it's just a consultation.

I do not recommend going back to the same surgeon, make sure you find someone who does revisions SPECIFICALLY, and performs at least 4-5 orthognathic surgeries a week.

At the very least consult with a different local surgeon and see what they say.
