Impacted canine surgery.... Now what?

Hello everyone

New to this so hoping I'm posting this in the right place.

I've recently had impacted canine exposure surgery and am wearing a bite plate which I'm finding very uncomfortable. I have a follow up appointment in 2 weeks time but I'm unsure of what will happen at the appointment? I know I need a chain and braces but the orthodontist has not specified when this will happen. Just wondering if anyone knows what I should expect at the next appointment?

That's interesting, in most cases the braces are put on first and the gold chain is attached to the impacted tooth during the exposure surgery and then that chain is attached to the arch wire. I also haven't heard of bite plates being given for exposures before, did your follow-up occur yet? I'm curious as to how your procedure went
