One upper incisive tooth shouldn't have moved

#1 Post by damez »

Hi all,
I have my wires changed for the second time last week. My lower front teeth are crowded and one lower incisive was removed since I have no enough space.
The thing is that I did not have my upper front teeth crowed but now with my last change of wire one of my front upper tooth has moved a bit an it is not straight as it was before : s , I think the my upper teeth are supposed to go back a bit and the front teeth kind of slightly rotate because there was no room. My questions are :
Can this be corrected ?
Is it normal to happen ?
My next appointment with my ortho is in 4 weeks and I am bit concern about this.

Thank you

Completely normal. You can of course ask at your next appointment but for the first 5-6 months of braces your teeth will move all sorts of weird ways that you may not like. It is just how they have to move together to get to the end result- kind of like a puzzle is how my ortho explained it. For many people, their teeth get worse before they get better

Thank you for you response : ) . I feel much better now. I have just been braced for 3 month and still have more than a year to finish.
