Finally the first step!

#1 Post by Anticipator »

After at least a year of regular lurking on this board I've got a consult set up for next week.

This board is an awesome resource, I think that the orthodontist will think I'm nuts (she's probably right :P ) with all the knowledge I've gotten from here.

Anyway wish me luck, will update on the 19th.

Today was the day of the consultation.

The orthodontist diagnosed a few issues I wasn't aware of. Apparently I have a class 3 relationship on one side of my mouth along with a crossbite and narrow arch.

I only really had noticed the crowding.

Estimated treatment time was 20 months which is a little longer than I was expecting.

I'll have to wait until January for insurance to cover some of the cost of treatment but I'm going back in two weeks to take molds.

She seemed really interested in using Damon 3's. I'm not sure if that's what I want though.
