I had braces for 2 years, got them taken of in 2009 or 2010 can't remember for sure
Before braces I had a large gap between my 2 top incisors.
That was the main problem with my teeth and it took them the full 2 years to close it up.
When I got them off they put a permanent retainer on the back of just those 2 front teeth
The ortho I went to back home was open on weekends but I can't find any open on weekends where I live now, in the entire state(Arizona USA)
Last time it broke I got into the ortho the same day to get it fixed and it already reverted to what it was 6 months before I got my braces taken off. They just pushed them back together cause they were the only teeth that moved much and slapped a new retainer on because it hadn't been broken long and all was well.
What should I do to keep my teeth together until monday(36 hours from now is when the first office in the state that I could find that takes my insurance opens so I can't even call until then)
They're already separating significantly(maybe 1-2mm in the past 3 hours)
I really don't want to get braces again and I know it sounds vain but I refuse to have the gap come back, before it was closed up I refused to smile EVER and I hated it, the thought of it coming back sets off major anxiety (I do have anxiety problems to begin with) and I know if it comes back I'll revert to old ways of never wanting to so much as open my mouth.
Please help, what do I do to either push them back together and keep them there OR at least stop them from moving further until a dentist or ortho is open Monday???

Re: Permanent retainer broke(HELP ASAP)
You could tie them together with dental floss until you get to the ortho.
