I just cant wait to go out for a meal and not have to worry that my food is caught up in my brackets and wires. To be able to eat whatever I fancy and not be so self-concious about eating.

Pierogies! A man after my own heart!

I'm with a bunch of you who have eaten the not allowed foods. Though I never got a list of foods I shouldn't eat. I haven't eaten popcorn though, but I'm not sure that'd be the first thing I eat but I would dfinately appreciate some movie theater popcorn!

Dream? Do. Lol. You guys are funny. Your braces aren't going to spontaneously combust if you eat these foods. Pan fried perogies? Really?

I eat popcorn on a regular basis (going to make some and watch TV in about 20 min), apples, ribs (yum), nuts, raw carrots/veggies and I certainly wouldn't hesitate at a bacon cheeseburger or a perogies ;). Of course an added degree of caution is required. But you don't have to stop eating anything at all to be honest.

I used to break a bagel into small pieces, dip in cream cheese and eat it while I was braced. But the experience was not quite same as biting into a warmly toasted whole bagel, so I stopped doing that.

Now that I am brace-free, the joy of eating a whole bagel came back. I just ate a warm everything bagel with egg and Havarti cheese with a cup of Joe for breakfast. Yummmm....

I think I've eaten just about everything on the list so far, except for popcorn. For some reason it scares me.

I will definitely be buying a big, juicy apple the day mine come off. I eat apples now, but they're chopped up into little pieces.

A big bag of beef jerky is on my list as well.

I have 6 weeks left in braces...but I've literally eaten everything that I would if I didn't have braces. I think a lot of people fear damaging their brace, I just ate whatever I wanted and haven't broken anything. Probably due to sheer luck!

Sucks that I can't bite into an apple properly either way because I have a bonded front tooth that I have to be ultra careful with. :/

I have bonded retainers on my top and bottom teeth, too. I have eaten a whole apple almost everyday without any problem.
