Don't worry, the pain will probably take 4-6 days. And in a week you're good as you don't feel the braces :D
Good luck :)

Hi! I read your post last night...congrats on the braces! The "discomfort" does subside after a few days. I've been braced for 2 yrs 3 weeks as of today! The worst part for me in those first few weeks was the "toughening" of the inside of my cheeks!! Wax will be your best friend!

Hey Everyone! 2 weeks in and life is pretty much back to normal now. I must say that I didn't experience much of what you all have described. The pain was there but was NOT bad (I stand by the statement that spacers were 100% worse).

Eating is such a pain bc so much crud gets stuck in your braces... I was expecting it but I didnt expect THAT much stuff to get stuck.

Thanks for the support! I have my first adjustment on December 4th and will get a spring to open up the space for my top semi-hidden tooth to come forward. I can't wait for that to happen... that poor tooth get the most action when it comes to food getting stuck. LOL
