So, I have an estimated treatment time of 18-24 months. I'm 6 months in and couldn't be happier with the changes so far. I know the long part is stabilizing everything, but watching my space/diastema close --again--and so quickly, has been fascinating.
He is thrilled with the progress as well and treatment is moving right along. Still going every 4 weeks, and my reverse curve wire on the lower arch was removed this time. Got a new wire on bottom, new powerchain on top, new ligs all around...and I chose BLUE because it's my 6 month brace-a-versary!

Wow, your teeth are looking nearly perfect. My front gap also closed quickly, maybe within 4 months, but now I'm in my 11th month and I still have a lot of small gaps. I have a full year to go, and I think I need it.
Thanks everyone! It's going great! Although, I do get frustrated when no one else around notices until I show them a before and after Crazy family.
Yes, DivineDiva, I am NOWHERE near done...closing the front space redistributed the space to between my laterals and canines. So we're going to get the front fully closed and stabilized, get the lower arch opened up a bit more (I believe) and then start closing the 'new' spaces. I don't think I'll be done before the 18 months and hoping I don't have to go 24 full months
Amazing progress! Seeing this makes me so happy as I also have diastema. I'm only on month 2, I feel like my progress is pretty slow, but my gap is closing. I guess I just have to be patient!

The powerchains will get 'em moving for sure! It'll be REALLY fast.
I have a question for everyone...I'll bring it up next time to my ortho but...that's a WHOLE month away!
Just a natural smiley face...and I notice that it isn't even...on the left side (right looking straight on to the pic) my lips cover more of my teeth than on the other side.
Is this "just my face" or something orthodontics related that can be "fixed"?

I did change it after looking at this month's photos! Now, today I'm downing the Aleve a bit...Ow! ButI am so thrilled. I can just envision a "new" me next year!
