new aligner

#1 Post by lesley »

Hi guys...today I put a new aligner in and the top one does not cover my teeth like the other ones have. On some teeth it does not go high enough. Do I just deal with it for 2 weeks or go to my ortho? I'm assuming this has happened before.

It'll fit better at the end of the two weeks. I assume its got to pull some teeth down. Just deal with it and if things arent right your ortho will let you know.

Is there extra plastic at the end of those teeth? If so then your teeth just need to move to get a better fit which will happen. If those teeth are already fitting perfectly into the aligner just mention it the next time you see your ortho.

With my first set of aligners my two top teeth were never completely covered even though they fit in the aligner perfectly. So I know it can happen but it is a little weird its happening to you know. Wait two weeks and see what happens. Good luck!

I'm on aligner 11 top and bottom and pretty much every aligner I have noticed ereas either too long or too short for my gumline. Either way it never seems to be a problem so I probably would not worry about it if I were you.
