And we already bought airline tickets to go to Hawaii on April 23!! YIPPPEEE!!!
I have been on this site for a long time--and I have fantasized about how it would feel to say those words. It feels really great! On April 22 it will be one week shy of 2 years in braces. I have to say that the time truly has gone by fast--even though a lot has happened since I first got braces!
I can really relate to how you guys feel. I have been soooooooooooooooo envious of people who announced that they were getting their braces off. I was happy for them but soooooooooo jealous.......I am not kidding.....
This last vist the ortho added 4 more hooks for elastics. They are triangles on the sides, close to the front of my mouth. The hooks are just beginning to dig into the inside of my lips. One last reminder of how much fun this has been I guess!
Oh, this is WONDERFUL news!!! I am very happy for you. I've read your postings and it seems like you've been through a lot. I'm sure you probably felt you would never get to this point! Congratulations! Take some pictures of you on the beach at Waikiki with a BIG smile and post them here when you get back!! Can't wait to see them!
Hey Dee--That's a great idea! Yesterday we paid for our week in a condo right on the beach away from the crowds at Waikiki--although I do love Waikiki also and we will for sure be spending time there. When I am thinking about the 2 things happening that week--braces and Hawaii, I barely think about Hawaii at all as the thing that I can't wait for. It's like "Oh ya, goody goody!-- I get to go to Hawaii too!"
