Braces 1986 & Sept 2007 (age 34)
severe class II impinging overbite
17 missing teeth (genetically)- AXIN 2 genetic mutation
Jan 2010 - genioplasty w/mandibular bone graft (from chin bone)
Jul 2010 - 4 mandibular implants. FAILED
Oct 2010 - re-placement of 3 implants, hardware removal
03/29/2011 - BSSO and 3 piece Lefort I
Sept 2012 - Upper jaw - 4 implants w/bone graft.
Jan 2016 - upper hardware removal, extensive upper bone graft

Thanks. I really don't look that bad as in those pictures. There is something about those mugshots that are not flattering.

You have been through so much. Good Luck with how things turn out. I agree about the mugshots, whenever I have mine taken I refuse to look at them. Keep us up-to-date on your outcome.

I have also had three surgeries and have written a blog too about my experience including a sarcastic paper that was sent to my blog by old orthodontist (we have proof so can say this) - it was sent via an import - unfortunatly I can't post pics of my radiographs as I wasn't given any.

Since I'm new to the whole orthognathic surgery thing I've been reading as many blogs as I can. Freaky Teeth, I would love to see how everything turns out. Hopefully you can transfer the new pics.

Did you leave a comment on my blog? I deleted it as I didn't know if you were being sarcastic or not? I couldn't see anything about your Masters' on it. I'm sorry if my blog offended you in some way there is no reason why it should have done.
My blog also contains photos of me now too- they are near the bottom - it seems we have both got something in common - we have both had ridiculous things said to us by dental professionals.
