I had a total of four teeth taken out over two appointments and I was pretty much fine within an hour or so of each, just a little bit sore. Like most people I'd say you would be fine and maybe just take the half day off work and by the next day you should be fine.
I had two wisdom teeth pulled from the top. I took off that day and went to work the next day. My job is a highly active job, running around in the hot sun, playing games with kids all day. So when I went to work that next day...I almost made it the whole work day..but then I went home. Everything was fine after that. I had no pain really..i just had a headache and felt tired.
