Pressure is good!! We HEART pressure- lol!!
How have you been? Have you gotten used to them yet? Besides the food getting stuck, I'm pretty much back to normal. I haven't felt anything since my first day, which I'm not 100% happy about, since I feel like I need to FEEL IT to know it's working, but I know I have to keep telling myself that's not true. Good luck on your first adjustment! Mine is next Friday... I have a feeling I'm going to be sorry I just implied I wanted to feel pain- lol! Hope everything is going great!

Hey! I'm sure there has been movement... And from what I understand, some people get movement right off the bat but then still have the braces on for a while.... while others see movement further on down the road but still have the same length of treatment. I'm sure things are going just as planned.
I had my first adjustment yesterday and my ortho promised me things were moving, besides the fact that I don't feel it. So I am sure yours are doing something... you may just not notice it yet. He said they were leveling mine... getting them all the same height. Once that is done (hopefully next month), I will then get the 4 teeth pulled and then I'll hopefully I'll start to see the real movement!
That's great that you have forgotten about them! I'm so glad to hear that you are back to your normal routine and not worrying about them!!

Well this is good news! I remember how excited and apprehensive you were while you were waiting to get your braces on. I'm glad to hear that you're getting comfortable with them.XXNECRAXX wrote:yea i been getting used to them i forgot they were even on me to tell you the truth
Don't feel too bad that you're not seeing a lot of movement yet. It was several months before I noticed movement, then one day it seemed like I noticed huge changes all of a sudden! I think it's like the watched pot that never boils...

I see some movement!! i cant wait to see the difference in 6 months! I was so excited to see that top tooth has moved almost where it belongs!! my tongue no longer rests on it when i close my mouth!! its amazing!... yea and as you can see i got coils! they feel funny but no different then having metal in your mouth i guess! Dr Taylor wants to push thos teeth in the coils over to make room for the crowded from top and bottom teeth! cant wait till they start working!!

Wow. I saw your front teeth and realised I just found a dental doppelganger of sorts.
Pictures of mine are here
My orthodontist suggested a different path: Extraction of upper and lower first premolars to make room for my extremely crowded lower teeth (by comparison, I think more crowded than yours) and the flared out teeth up top (not sure I understand that entirely, but several people recommended four extractions, so he's probably on to something). He wouldn't rule out the possibility of a tissue graft after braces, or maybe even during, but said that the underlying bone structure and gum structure were good enough to keep the front tooth without the graft. I also asked what my alternatives were to extractions and he could only suggest SARPE.
Anyway, recovering my from my four extractions on Friday (two dry sockets, heh) and get braced on the 27th. May we both have excellent treatments in the next few years.
