You could try biting on a damp tea bag. The tannin will shrink down the blood vessels and slow the bleeding.
Hope you soon feel better!

I had a molar extracted May 26. It was still bleeding a few hours later as well.

I used a wet teabag and clamped down on that for a while. I couldn't do it too long because the taste of the tea and the blood made me feel a bit sick.

If you don't have tea bags, use some more damp gauze and keep putting pressure on it.

Does your doctor have an emergency number? Is it bleeding heavily or just won't stop?

Thanks guys!

I probably should have checked back here after it stopped, but once it had, I really wasn't thinking about this.

I found some gauze in my 1st iad kit, and that did the trick.

Glad the bleeding stopped! Mine bled for about 3 hours and I used up all the extra gauze they gave me to take home and had to send my boyfriend out to buy more. I think my problem was not biting hard enough on the gauze.

I hope your extractions went well and that you heal quickly with no problems!

Glad your bleeding stopped ok! I don't think there's any "standard" times for it, like everything else everyone's teeth and bodies are different. Mine bled for about 5-6 hours! It was sipping iced water that stopped it in the end
