Thank you all for your well wishes!!! I felt so confident and excited going in there knowing all I know and knowing you were all rooting for me!

So I got braced!!!! It took about and hour and a half, it didn't hurt, but there was a lot of pressure. I did take 800 mg of Advil about an hour before my appointment! The etchant tasted prettty bad, and my mouth was dry the whole time, but the assistant, Sara, was so nice!!! Her and I were having so much fun laughing and joking. While the lip retractors where in and I couldn't talk, I was typing into my cell phone so I could ask questions! I went with pink and yellow ligs, the assistant said the yellow shouldn't stain too badly if I brush well, so we'll see. She said it is their office policy to use silver ligs on the lower, the lead Dr says they work better- whatever! How can a particular color of lig work any better than any other color? I think thats a crock! I made a sad face and told her I really wanted colors all the way around, so she did it for me! Yeay! Anyway, I got my t-shirt, and some floss, Orabase (to treat/prevent sore spots in the mouth), proxy brushes, etc. So I'm going back on June 26th for my first adjustment!!! I'm so glad I did this!!!

I think I'd better take another dose of Advil....

Very nice!! They are such "spring" colours! :D Glad to hear it all went well. Hope the pain doesnt' get too bad but, remember, it only lasts a few days.

I think I read somewhere that different colour ligs do effect how much they "work"....something to do with the different colour dyes effecting the elastisity. I can't remember the exact reasoning but, hey, they'll still work and good for you for sticking to your guns!! They look terrific!

How are your toofers today?
Keep smilin'! :)

Thanks everyone for your replies! You've made my morning!!! I'm really sore this morning, my whole head hurts- and I hate headaches! Oh well, 600 mg of Advil and I'm off to work for the day, I'm sure all my coworkers will be supportive. My husband said my braces were "nice" and that they "make me look a lot younger"! Anyway, I love you all and I'll see you later!!!
