Surgery Tommorow!!

#1 Post by Rach »

Hey everyone!
Tommorow is the day I have been waiting for a long time, Lower jaw surgery! :D
I have almost everything packed ready to take to the hospital and Im leaving at 6.30am to get there for 7.30. Don't know how Im going to sleep tonight though, it has come so quick, just looking forward to being on the other side now!
Have to admit I was feeling very nervous earlier but when my mum took some 'before' pictures for me and I looked at them it brought back all the reasons I am going to go through with this, just concentrating on the end result now.
Had home-cooked chinese noodles as my 'last meal' which was nice as I don't think I will beable to eat them for a while.
I've stocked up on some entertainment for my recovery, and Im keeping a blog up aswell (theres a link in my sig) which should take up my time.
Well I think thats it, will be in one night and was told I should be able to go home tuesday evening so hopefully I will post then. :D

Hope everyone is well

Rach xx

Good luck, Rach - hope it all goes well. I have 2 tips for your overnight stay:
1) earplugs!
2) USE the suction tube by your bed to keep saliva and blood out of your mouth. It really helps, but I was so out of it that I didn't think of using it on myself until late evening.

Good luck on getting some sleep. I'm sure I'll be so nervous I'll wear out the carpet between my bed an the loo.

Here's to a speedy recovery with a lot of tingly feelings!
