Oral-B Pro white brush heads - FANTASTIC!

#1 Post by Lisa65 »

A few months ago I bought a new oral-B electric brush as my old one wasn't charging very well anymore. I just bought the basic vitality rechargeable brush. My husband uses it too, so I thought I'd get another one so we could have one in use and one on charge. The one I bought today came with a Pro-White polishing brush head, so I thought I'd give that a try tonight before my adjustment tomorrow.

The head looks similar to a normal oral-B head, but it's a bit bigger and it has a little yellow rubber cup in the middle which polishes your teeth.

All I can say is WOW! It's bloody brilliant. My teeth feel as clean and shiny as after a £40 visit to the hygienist. They look whiter too. All the tea stains have gone. These heads cost quite a bit more than the "normal" oral-B heads, so I won't be using it all the time, but I'll probably do a once-a-week clean and polish up to keep my teeth looking nice.

Well worth the money. For those in the UK, ASDAS are doing the Vitality electric brushes for £12 each, and you can choose from regular, pro-white, sensitive or sonic (the sonic one takes a different head but the others all take the same ones).

The polishing brush head that came with my oral b electric toothbrush, said to not use the polisher on braces. So be careful! But the polisher is pretty awesome.

Lisa -

I got one of these heads with my new Triumph, and I've been using it all month, trying to get my use out of it before b-day.

I do like it. Maybe if I follow your example and am careful, I can sneak it in every now and then, even with brackets. ;-)

I really like the "regular" Oral-B heads, the Pro-whites, and I'm looking forward to the ortho heads (starting tomorrow!). Not a big fan of their flagship "Floss-Action" heads, though. Maybe it's just me.
Braced for the first time on January 17th, 2008!
Planned with OrthoCAD iQ
Damon 3 ("social six") and 3MX brackets
Estimated treatment time: 18-20 months

I tried to get hold of the "Ortho" heads, but was told that they have stopped making them here in the UK. :( I bought a couple of the "Floss Action" heads instead, although I find these a bit hard. I'm using these first when I brush and then switching to my regular Oral B head to finish brushing. I'm then cleaning with TePe interdental brushes around my brackets, flossing once a day and using Fluorigard, oh and a waterpik three or four times a day. Hopefully I've got it covered!!

I'm going back to Florida for the third time this year (LOVE Florida!!) so if you can still get the Oral B Ortho heads in Walmart, I'm going to stock up then - does anyone from the US know?

I wouldn't brush with the polisher more than once a week. I don't see the harm in that. But I imagine that you could pop a bracket some how with polishing part and forceful brushing/ pressing. Idk. But I would ask the ortho and see what s/he says. Its awesome on coffee stains! (Regular drinker, 6 days, 2 -3 cups!)

Don't live in Florida but a Wally is a Wally right! Twinkle, I have never seen the ortho care brush heads. There are 3 Wally here! I recently purchased some from ebay. Seller whammy111, fast delivery fyi. Keep an eye out for them there. I purchased 3 packs with 4 brushes for about $23.00. Awesome deal!

Thanks HIMgurl! Love the name "Wally"!! I'm going to call Walmart "Wally" from now on! When we're in Florida, I'm going to say to my husband and kids "Let's go to Wally's!" - Love that place!

Thanks for the suggestion about E-bay. Not sure if the postage to the UK would warrant buying them from the States, though. :? Might be, if it's a good deal, I suppose.
