believe it or not iam 21 and because of my braces i looked 14, i wore butterfly wings and dressed up. I got more compliments than my little sister, it was so much fun and I am sure I will be giving all those sweets to those who can savor them better than I but I will keep the ones i can be careful with. THanks for your help guys.

You accepted candy?? Adults with jobs should buy their own candy.
I'm currently unemployed so does that mean it's okay for me to accept candy

I am really bummed this Halloween. I love chocolate but yesterday was on only my 3rd day in braces and my teeth still hurt so I didn't feel like I could eat any candy yet. I did have some pumpkin ice cream to make myself feel better. I do have so candy left over so maybe I'll keep a little for when my teeth don't hurt so much!!

I guess I should have been a bit more specific, I am not a candy stealing meanie. The main reason I was out trick or treating was because I was with my little sister and her three friends and edmonton is just not a safe place for little girls to be running around at night in. Even on Halloween. I dressed up because I looked 14 years old and because I can't eat most of what I got my little sister ended up getting. Which I am happy about because I was told that because of me getting my braces my parents have decided to get her braces too in December. I am thrilled cuz as I kid I always wanted them but mom and dad put it off and couldn't afford it. So my advice to my little sister and anyone else who is about to get them, is enjoy the candy while you can (make sure to brush). I can also see your point about the begging thing. I am not sure where you are from I know my boyfriend is from africa and didnt get how the whole thing made any sense and why kids went out and asked for candy. I think its more of a game people like getting candy and people just give it too you. At a couple houses we were going to pass because it was 9:00 at night and they were asking the last trick or treaters to stop and come get more candy. At then end some houses will even start dumping half their bowl in your bag. I do miss how many people used to go, its not as many as before it was exciting to walk down the street and see how many people had the same outfit as you or check out the unique cool ones. But thats all I have to say about that. Oh and im not sure i think it may run in the family, my mom dressed up as a clown and got more candy than me and my two sisters once when i was younger ( when i mean younger i mean young enough to be actually trick or treating(
