I have a few questions bc I haven't seen headgear or know anyone personally whose had it?

What's it's specific purpose? It's not something these poor folks have to wear in public is it? Or is that just something that is a mockery in movies etc.? I personally thought gear like that wasn't used anymore but I guess I am wrong.

sorry meryaten my computer was being so slow today and in your original message I did not see the link to look at the other patients case with headgear but was able to shortly thereafter but didn't have time to edit my post.

I seriously did not know that headgear was still worn today nor did I know it had to be worn all day. But I did read up on that peson's story and now know that it's actually true.

I didn't mean to come off insensitive. Infact I was just merely stating that I feel so sorry for people who do have to wear it because I certainly would not be that courageous to do so (and probably would refuse if my ortho suggested it)...as much as I want the work done to my teeth some things I am not willing to do but I commend those that unfortunately have to go through that much work to their teeth. I bet though in the end it will all be worth it and they'll be happy they went through with it.
