Yes definitely talk to your ortho about any concerns you may have!!

Apart from that, I love the colors of your ligs... the green and blue are amazing.

They're so pretty and white, they'll look fantastic once the braces come off. I see what you mean about your bite, though - I have a similar problem. I'm sure your ortho will fix it at your next adjustment. Keep us posted!

hey guys back with a little update... tonight i went to my ortho's christmas party at his office. there was a lot of people so it was crowded in there.. they had some really great food! black beans and yellow rice with some pork. yumm oooh and cant forget all the desserts they had!! they were all wonderful because i tried every last one of them (there was like 10 :D ) now since i am only 14 i sort of hung out with my friend and the balloon man while he was doing stuff for the little kids. we partied it up lol! haha and guess what the balloon mans name was mike jones (to all the people that have teenagers and know who this guy is lol). i wanna go back next year for sure! o ya... i didnt ever talk to the ortho but i talked with a lot of the assistants.. my ortho was talking to a lot of adults because they were all very worried when we saw him on crutches. and i still dont know what happened to his leg..?

hey guys sorry im late but my appt. was during final exam week and my birthday week so i was totally concentrated on other stuff. my appt was on dec 12 and it was pretty basic. change the lower 3-3 chain to all the lowers with just singles and they redid my upper powerchain which seems like they put a tighter one on everytime. haha it was so funny, i say tighter every time because this time when the assistant was putting on the upper chain, when she got to the right central, she had half of the chain around the bracket and then... holy *#$* must have been going through her mind because the next second the bracket flew off across the room. she was pretty new i could tell because she was really slow and stuff but she was still very nice so that might have had something to do with the bracket flying off. it was funny also because after that i guess i must have been on of her first patients ever putting a chain on so when she had to tell the ortho to come back and fix it, she actually went over to one of the other assistants and asked them, "hey... can u tell dr **** to come over here, this bracket just magically flew off... i swear" and then after they had it back on in the right position.. she was afraid it was gonna come off again when she had to put the chain back on so she left the blue light on it for like literally 5 WHOLE minutes. so the combination of her being new and slow and the bracket flying off changed what should have been a 15-20 appt into a 1 hour appt. other than that i got a few bends in the wires and i got the time that im supposed to wear my class 3 elastic on the right side cut down from 2/3 of the day to only night time wear. im still on schedule to get my braces off in january, but unfortunately it wont happen unless amazingly there is a snow day in florida because i cant even miss a class in school because if i do i cant exempt exams which means ill have to take 7 exams instead of 3 final exams which is a big DIFFERENCE! so ya... im gonna have to reschedule to spring break which is late march or summer which isnt till june..

Thanks KK!

ya it seems weird during the day because i am so used to wearing the rubberband and sometimes when i wake up i forget to take it out so i wear it through the morning to.

ya exam exemptions stink!!! my dad is bout ready to go to the school and start yelling at them because i could only exempt (not take, skip) 2 exams last semester because i had to have surgery... hes really pissed that students get penalized for stuff they cant help, like surgery or a funeral. if a student even misses 10 minutes of a class throughout the day, then they are counted absent for the whole day with our exemptions and then screwed with exemptions. ya well my county for schools is just retarded and i cant wait to be off to college.

ooo ya... u guys are probably thinking.. why doesnt she get her braces taken off after school??? well ya I WISH! my ortho's office only will take them off during late morning hours because thats the least busiest time of the day and they want to fit as many short appts in the afternoon as they can.

well guys i might post pictures because i think my chain is a really cool color.. other than that there is just no new changes u could see except a small bend in the front lower wire and then he put bend right before my lower first molars to move them out. IM NEARING THE END.... FINALLY!!!

Thanks

my bite on my right side has been totally screwed up now that the molar has moved, that is my biggest concern, not the molar actually moving although that worries me too

ok so i had my first post debanding check up today... it went ok. I ask about the gap that was opening up and said that this wasnt exactly normal but can happen and theyll wait until the wisdom tooth comes down and hope that pushes it back towards the front, but they are going to check it again in august to see if it is getting worse. i asked about my bite changing and they said that my tongue when i swallow is putting a TON of pressure on my front teeth causing them and all my other teeth to change my bite and they said they were going to put a hole in my retainer to help me remember where to keep my tongue and if that doesnt help then i dont know what. all i know is that right now that hole in the retainer is bugging the hell out of my tongue!!! i honestly dont think that this hole in my retainer is going to correct a habit that i have pretty much had my hole life even if i do pay attention to it, but my ortho told me that people swallow on average 2,000 times per day and that is what is changing my bite so then i thought if im swallowing 2,000 times per day how the hell am i gonna remember and watch my self swallow everytime i do to make sure im doing it correctly. oh yeah and apparently i push my tongue against my teeth a lot more than i thought when im at rest (not swallowing or eating) and he wants me to remember not to do that. i promise ill try my best lol :) but i doubt a little whole is going to help me accomplish breaking this BIG habit...... oh well i feel better now so thanks for reading this and putting up with my little rant.... ill post pictures of the new hole in my retainer, unfortunately i never took a picture of my retainer when i didnt have any hole so your going to just imagine what i looked like when there wasnt one lol...... so pictures will be up soon!

Thanks

thanks you guys for the compliments. ashame i didnt take pictures of my teeth before they started screwing up again (i was tooooo lazy lol)
