archwire travelling
On my left side the archwire is sort of coming out of the molarband bracket. It makes little holes on my cheeks. I try to push it back to the bracket. With my last archwire I had to push it in, too. Wha are archwires travelloing and coming out of the brackets?
This has happened to me on a good couple of occassions. The worst batch was after my second-last adjustment. My top wire kept shifting left and was poking in the back corner and my cheek, tearing it up. I went in to my ortho and they moved it back the first two times, the third they put the little V in and it stayed nicely. One other time I had the stoppers.
Once the wire was secured in place, I felt fine. My ortho was very accomodating about having me come in so they could fix it too.

If the archwire is sticking oput the back of the brackets on both sides, it means that your teeth have moved and the wire is now too long. The ends need to be clipped by your ortho.
If it sticks out on one side only, it has slid around and can be slid back. I had my ortho do this a couple of times but since he could slide it along, so could I. I used my thumbnail to push the protruding end and it moved perfectly and saved me a trip to the ortho.
