Today I had my appointment with the good news that wearing the elastics for 10 hours a day is enough for the moment!
So I can solve it while I am at home in the evening and night :D

It was a quick, just 15 minutes appointment, with cutting a little from the end of the wire on the left upper side and some shaving from my fake teeth because my teeth came closer to each other on the extraction sites

Thats all for today, see you later!

Sounds like the fake teeth won't be with you for much longer, antsika. Good news that you only need elastics at night.

You are right, lionfish, my ortho said she is goint to remove those "match-sticks" but she left them there yet, probably they will be soon gone :)

Yes I feel lucky Linda :D The elastics work wonders, already in 2 weeks I can see changes :D

Yes Maryaten, I have tried, and it is amasing how strong these little rubber things are

This tuesday I had my last appointment this year, it was quite uneventful.
Everything is going well, I have to continue wearing the elastics only at night. My ortho have shaved again from my fake teeth, which is always painful and goes with some bleeding from my gums. But it seem I get used to this it wasn't such a bad experience this time.
She didn't do anything with the brackets or the wires, just cut the ends of the upper wire.
We were discussing a bit about closing the extraction gaps as I mentioned her that the lower gap does not seem to close. She said that it is ok, we just have started to work on it with the elastics and it needs more time as mainly the back teeth will be pulled forward to close the gap.

My next appointment is in a month on the 18th of January if nothing unexpedted happens, but then there might be wire change! :D

I wish everybody Marry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year! :-V :-)o

See you later!

Thank you linda21, KK and Joanna20! You are very kind :)

Yesterday I had my appointment after 4 weeks, which was a very long time for me as I usually have my appointments every 3 weeks.
It was quite uneventful actually except for the fact that I got new wires again.
My ortho said that it can be seen that I wear my elastics well as my back teeth started to come to the front. My lower gap will be closed partly by pulling the back teeth to the front.
I was happy to hear that because at the beginning of this week I was on a business trip (which was more of a team building  ) in Slovakia where we had so many programs that I could hardly wear my elastics  . As normally I wear them only at night (and we were partying at nights 8) ) I feel uncomfortable wearing them in public.
But now I wear them more to get back the lost hours.

This new wire will not stay for long, and it is a last one of the "elastic-type-wires", next time I will get another type which name I don't remember but I am very interested in it.

I don't see too much movement nowadays, and she said that there is no need to file down from my fake teeth, which means the holes didn't close too much :( But today my whole mouth is in pain and very sore, it is painful to eat, I hope it means movement! I haven't posted pictures lately, I will try to make some in the weekend.

My next appointment is on the 6th of February.
