Hi Ken, it is great your treatment moves on! I am awaiting your pics!

I am also on the going-in-winter side of the world :( We are getting one hour more sleep but we are losing the summer... Those on the other side are lucky :)

you know, pre braces I have a mouth guard applied inhopes to correct my grinding at night-[if you check out my initials you can see why! so much overlaping and underbite on one side!]
----- and i would unconsciously take it out as well! :grrr: so I totally understand the frustration of wanting to keep it in for a relaxed day without jaw soreness or sensitivity- but nooOOooo! you are honestly the worst person when you are sleeping- only worried about getting the most comfortable sleep without distratcions- darn unconscious self taking over :P... I eventually stopped wearing it, and after a breakdown decided it was time to get races :)
anyways- Im sure your ortho will have some suggestions, it sounds like this happens to more than enough people to be of a concern :)

anyways- great progress, awesome halloween-y colours!
Braces off- 12 months 1 week in braces- estimate 18-21 months!
First time in braces- Damon 3's- 01-30-06 - 02-09-2007 hawley clear retainer on top, permenant retainer on bottom

Hey Ken! :)

I don't think I've had the chance yet to comment in regards to your story - but like I said in another post, I pay particularly close to your progress because I had some gum issues at the beginning of my treatment, too. Due to some gum and bone loss I really stepped up this whole makeover of mine to another level and went for the braces. I wanted teeth that I was proud of and that would be with me for the rest of my life and treating my mouth the way I was wasn't going to make that a possibility ever! Anyways - you're shaping up very nicely, indeed! Very inspiring to someone like me.

I thought about doing Halloween colors as well - but chickened out. However, Xmas is right around the corner and I will DEFINITELY be doing some Xmas colors then. I thought that the colors were for kids - but I'm rockin the pink ones like they were a new shade of lipstick or something - so I'm hooked.

It would be totally cool to see your DR up on this forum! How exciting is that! Yeah - you better behave and occasionally say some really nice things about him (like before your adjustments) just to stay on his good side. ;)

Keep up the great work and just as great attitude. I'm watching & learning from you...

Hi Ken

Great progress pics....

Hope all is well with you.. I almost had a mouthguard for my grinding not so long back but my bite changed again and I stopped grinding almost overnight.

Take care, looking forward to more updates!

Happy birthday, Ken!

I have been trying to find the very first pics, as well as your background story you posted on this site so I have more of a frame of reference, but going through the archives just frustrates me, I'll get back to it later! But anyhow, your teeth are looking great...and the second I saw that mouthguard I know why you might keep spitting it out! That thing is HUGE!
