Hey Linda21! Happy Belated Birthday! :-)o :flowerbloom: :-V

Congrats again on being a new aunt, now times two! That is so cool. I'm very happy for you, and your sister (go! on that big baby and natural delivery, jealous here of that feat)! Wahoo! Such a relief to know the babies and their mums are okay. :D

I'm with you on the "not asking the ortho when I'll be done" thing! I don't know if I'll like the answer, so I'm just not asking.

Good luck with the doubling up of elastics (and I'm keeping my fingers crossed it is smooth sailing all the way). It sounds like those hooks your ortho attached should prevent any problems of the kind Lucyloop had.

Hey Linda!
Great to read about your adjustment, and happy to hear that your teeth are being cooperative about moving. I, also have never heard of "kank," but I think that my teeth might do the same thing...:)
I have no idea what my time-frame is... as I've only had them a month, who knows? The end is so far away, anyway, lol...
My mini-goal... or dream really, is to have them off by the time I am 21.. which will be a little bit under 24 months...
:)
Great to hear about the adj., and *close gap, close*!!!
Take care

Wow, that was great news! I think I have a "kank", too. Your description is very close to how I would've described it. At least I know what it is now, though. I'll ask my ortho about it at my next appointment.

I also had a big gap too that would NOT close. Powerchain after powerchain, it didn't budge. It finally closed two months ago, when my ortho told me to wear elastics from my upper canines to the last teeth on my lowers. I think the reason it would not close is because if it did close, my teeth would not line up. The elastics had to move other teeth before the gap closed.

Looks like you're very close to getting your braces off as well! Although, people can use the same wires for a very long time. I personally don't care when I get my braces off, though. All I want is for my teeth to be perfect before they're taken off. Here's to hoping all goes well for you!
About three years since being braced. Changed ortho twice, so it's hard to keep track.

A very special thanks to KK & linda21 for constantly reading my log. Thanks!

Wow, I can't believe you are at the "10th adjustment" point! Though I'm guessing you can, after 16 long months in.

Ya gotta love those little "emergencies" like a slightly torn powerchain that get you into the office sooner than you otherwise would have been seen.  Seriously though, I'm glad it wasn't something uncomfortable, or major, and that you were seen relatively quickly.

I thought I'd join the cheering section for the gap. :)
I have my pom poms. I have a slight lisp - but I can still yell pretty darn loud. (If I could borrow your trainer I'd look even better in the Cheerleader uniform, too, I might add. *hint hint* )

Hey girl. The tear thing really sucked plus your fitness thing broke! To me that would be a very nasty Monday for everyone around me
I'm glad It's all sorted out now.
1 mm WOW that is awesome!!! You've got like 2 weeks and 2 days so I think it will close by that time!!! That means that you'll get your braces off pretty soon, right? Those imperfections you've just said will be sorted out soon has well?

You must be super excited! Congrats!

When you started telling Ken about your cross trainer I thought you were talking about the elastic in your mouth. It made me laugh when I realized my mistake. - THere are so many things they can do, and with names like "powerchain" I guess it was an easy mistake.

It's inspiring to see your pictures - thanks for sharing them. Looks like you are going great!

Linda congrats on the movement toward gap closure! You're almost there!

Also, no soreness doesn't necessarily mean no movement. You just got used to it, is all! I love the pics, and can't wait until your adjustment update on November 27th!

I know we're supposed to be talking teeth and not cross-trainers here, but I have to say I think they're a fantastic invention too .. right up there with braces!!!
