Pain, movement & discolouration ? ? ? ?

Hi All,

Im on tray three of 19 on top and 8 on the bottom. I have had slight discomfort on the first day of each new tray mabe only for and hour or so.
ive never had any problems, taken the trays in or out, no difficulty at all
Is this normal ? ?

I just think at the moment this is going to easy, does anyone agree ?

Also when can you notice a difference in your teeth, I think I can see one already and everyone else says they can to but im sure they would just agree with me in any way

Sorry one more question, I think my teeth may be looking slightly discolured also, has anyone noticed this and im brushing my teeth, god knows how many times a day !

Sounds like your treatment is going very well overall (very little pain, seeing some progress already) - but as for the discoloration thing - maybe you are just focussing on your teeth much, much more than you ever did prior to getting the Invisalign braces ... so now you start to notice other things that are less than 100 percent perfect.

If you don't eat or drink (apart from water) while the aligners are in, why should they discolor your teeth?

I know I have identified many "flaws" with my own teeth since beginning this mouth makeover, which I never noticed before ... We are just no doubt studying our teeth much more than before. Thank goodness we aren't doing this with every part of our body - we would never leave the house!

My treatment plan is for 17 liners for the top and 14 for the bottom arch, so our treatment plans sound about alike. Apart from obvious crowding on the lower front, no one thought I even needed braces! Friends have said "but your teeth are straight!" -

Of course after treatment, they will look much better. But certainly there are worse cases than yours or mine.

About the pain - maybe you just have a good tolerance for some pain? It is also possible that as you move through the process, there will be days when a certain tooth or teeth will begin to ache. So don't speak too soon, and have some Ibuprophen or Aleve handy.

Good luck - can't you just wait to be even more gorgeous??
