Hello:-)

It has been a looooong time since I posted, but I was quite busy with my work, holidays etc. So finally I can updated on my progress:

Adjustment 7th (January)

We had some more time to talk, so my ortho said that she is working until the end of Feb. and then she will be on maternity leave for 3-4 months in worst case scenario 6 months…and another ortho will take over and probably in Feb we will all three see.

As for change….well I had ss wire on top and bottom, but round one, so I got rectangular on top but the NiTi and on the bottom I think I got one size higher …. But I did not asked.
I was feeling ok afterwards.

Adjustment 8th (February)

Soooo here it comes, my ortho was already on maternity leave! The new one was a bit late …. So I got extra stress, but she seems to be nice. She was able to talk so much that I forgot about all and I was not stress at all. Though I am still not happy. I guess she did not want to put too much pressure on my teeth at the first visit. She only changed ligatures and put new powerchain, the wires where not changed and I am not happy with this, it fells like no progress, and honestly I do not feel a thing. But well maybe be it was just ‘transition phase’?
My next appointment will be in 5 weeks apart as the new ortho works on different days.
She mentioned that now we will work with a lot of powerchains. I know that the new one is different then the one that was there before. Well I should not complain that much about lack of pain…as maybe next time it will be worst? Definitely my 2nd pre molar- the one partly impacted is getting to it’s place! And I see more of it:-)

Well I was trying to put my feelings since couple of weeks…. I had in between a bit of a low with my braces, I guess from time to time we all are having it. But now it’s better.

I just read your whole "diary" of your journey with braces. I live in Canada but I am orginially from Poland. You currently live there?

Your progress has been amazing, lots of movement. I hope things are going well with the new ortho. I would hate to change orthos but thankfully mine is male

It's exactly what I am thinking, she should be at the same technical level, it's just I am a bit more difficult with doctors ...but I guess everyone does have a bit of this? Though there is one thing that botters me...but I guess there is always a moment when things get worst before getting better??... so I am now in this moment, and it just happend when the new ortho took over.....

I wished that my ortho was at the last appoitment as I was planning to ask whether I am halfway or not???? well around ...I hope I am ?

Karen I was juat about to ask you about the collage that I made, but I will do it in your post:-)

Flora I am not sure how to replay to your question...well I am European that's for sure, I am Polish, but I left Poland in '99 so it's a long time, but i actually do the ortho thing in Poland, however I leave in Denmark....I know it's a bit complicated, but well ...that's the beauty of European Union:-)

It’s a long time since I posted…but there were couple of reasons: first my internet at home was not working, second I got quite upset with the whole journey.
So I am now after 1 year and 3 months, hopefully 3 months left. My ortho is on maternity leave since Feb. – was suppose to be back after 3 months, max 6 but that was a big question mark. As you can see in reality it’s now 10 months as I already know next month she is still on leave.
The ortho that took over is…well I though that we finally found common grounds but after the last problem with getting appointment I am really fed up! I lost complete interest+ I do not have any contact with the ortho. I mean person-to-person contact, I feel like an object that is not wanted …but well. I need to survive.
She (the new ortho) is right now ruining my nice weekend in Amsterdam with Friends and a marathon run. Well actually I could not prepared for the run, as my appointments were so random, that any planning was ruined.

In terms of treatment I am right now it 3 elastics, I think there are doing the job.


Apart of that the life goes on, I had a really nice summer holidays! Really great in Spain, it was o nice and bountiful. And I am planning for next marathon after braces!

I will post pictures of the current state of play. I am after 14th adjustment. Officially 2 left before relies.

We will see, as on the last appointment replacement ortho was saying about getting them off. And it was more like she will do it…..and I really do not like the way how she is using tools. With my ortho I was not feeling any thing. It was just perfect, but with this one I feel whatever she is doing…. And that sucks. Actually she said to me that for removal I should get some alcohol… so I will be ‘maybe more comfortable’ ?
But I am really hoping to have them off by xmas….as I am planning on a trip to Cuba!

A very quick update.

I think my replacement ortho will be my ortho now…..

So I had an appointment last Saturday (pictures later). And on the 18th of November my bottoms should be off as there are ready. The gap that was huuuuge is much smaller now so even when it will be there I do not mind – I have too much space now.
And if I would not live 1h by plane…maybe my uppers would be off soon. In this case there will stay until the week before xmas! So I will have them off before xmas break+ my holidays in Cuba! I am really looking forward.

oh..forgot about one thing.... red wine is my friend I got wierties for the first times!!!
