Question about how I should wear my elastics right now

So my braces are almost done, my ortho wants my top teeth right in front of the bottom. I believe He said to wear elastics only at night when they are where he said he wanted them. But my bottom right tooth and over is wear he wanted it, my bottom left and over is slightly not. So what i'm saying is half of my bottom teeth aren't aligned (by about 3 centimeters) . So I don't know if I should wear my elastics only on one side to make that certain side meet up or will that mess my jaw up.

If I were you, depending on how long to my next appointment,if it were within a week or 2 I would just wear them both sides. But if you have a few weeks until your appointment maybe just ring them and ask for an earlier appointment. If you stopped wearing them your teeth might relapse on that side again?

But do you think they would relapse if I would wear the elastics on that side only at night?

I'd say to follow your orthodontists instructions. He/she might see something that's not obvious to us and may want another tooth to move too.

That is true but I think those certain teeth that aren't straight happened after my appointment so he really didn't see them unstraight

Nobody here is going to tell you to ignore your ortho's instructions. He/she is really the person best able to make this call.

I would call and or visit ASAP to be sure . No sense second guessing on this home stretch.
