Newbie IA wearer!

Well, that was me fitted with my IA last night..... So far so good, I have one tooth at the front in the top overlapping the other which sits slightly inwards, so the aim is to push this one out first then work on the overlapping one to push it back in place.... I was a little disappointed when the dentist said she didnt think it would take too long and that it would be about 4-5 months.... I was hoping for round about 8 weeks reading other posts..... But hey ho.....

Can feel slight pressure but no pain as such, speech is horrendous, and constantly sucking away the saliva! Finding it a bit tricky to get it in and out but presume I will get used to this....

Is anyone else who thinks they have a similar 'front fang' issue able to give me their timescales to completion?

I have an overlapping front tooth, but with the other issues being worked on my treatment time is much longer than yours... around 20 months! I've seen some improvement in the overlap, but since there are other things that need to be addressed I still have a ways to go. Sounds like your case is rather straightforward and I can assure you that 4-5 months will fly by! And don't worry, the lisp will improve quickly (the secret is to make yourself talk, sing, whatever a LOT!) and the drooling gets better, too!
