Asymmetrical expansion SARPE surgery

Is there any way to self fix Asymmetrical expansion? My right side of the cheek seems swollen but I don't feel any pain. My surgeon told me that I may need to reverse the entire procedure by reversing the expander back to its original state and then going back into surgery to check and see what's wrong. I see my surgeon again in about a month so wouldn't my bones fuse by then? Is there a way to fix my asymmetry by putting pressure on the right side of my jaw and sleep on the left side to make it possibly move slowly towards the left? lol

I don't know what to do. Any opinions?

Can't s/he check what's wrong first without going to surgery?

Not sure, but it doesn't seem like it. He told me what may be wrong, but he isn't quite sure. I actually figured out that it was asymmetrical expansion after researching about it online and seeing that other people have had this happen to them before and they had to go back into surgery because of it
