How long does it normally take for a retainer to be built?

#1 Post by NKovaci88 »

Just wondering, but how long does it usually take for a retainer to be built and sent to the ortho's office?

I'm supposed to have impressions done next week...and just curious as to how long I'd have to wait after that!

When my son had his retainers made, it was at least 1-2 weeks before he had them put on... I have never heard of retainers being made in one night???

I do wonder how long it takes to do the fixed retainer option.. anybody know?

I am almost at this stage and my ortho tells me it takes 24 hours to make a retainer.
