Retainers

I am close to having my braces removed. It's been over two years with braces. My question is this. When you are wearing the retainers are they noticeable to wear people can see them or are they pretty well hidden?

It depends, what kind are you getting? The clear ones are hard to see but the wire on the Hawleys can be visible.
