Popping pimples after jaw surgery

#1 Post by SamBracingForIt »

Okay, I've read a lot about people struggling with post op acne. I've had a few little break outs, nothing terrible, but I never break out, so for me it's been frustrating. I'm 9 weeks and 5 days post op (UJS and genio), and yesterday, I just couldn't help myself, but I squeezed/pressed on a little pimple that seemed ready to pop, right beside/underneath my nose on the right side, and I've been anxious ever since that I've somehow moved my face/bones/screws/plates... I know, I'm probably being dramatic. Anyway, how long until y'all were confident enough to pop a pimple? Weird question, but I know I can't be the only one wondering!! haha

Yes, popping pimples is bad for your skin. We all know this... yet we all do it. Let's be real! haha

Pop away. You aren't going to do any damage with your fingers
Round 3 (lifetime) Damon stainless applied 3/16/20 (after 4 weeks attempting invisalign) On for about 18 months
Night time elastics with invisalign retainers; still...
Double jaw surgery was 6/18/15...
Orthodontics never really ends...
I'm emphatically against extraction orthodontics!

Haha, just worried I pressed too hard right near the plates!
