Got impressions done, primarily for a Pontic (temporary fake tooth, im getting 2 implants some time after my braces are off), also some thing where they have you bite on wax, and i got a new wire on top (they said 18 25 NiTi and it appears rectangular, which i think was also noted).

Also springs closed rather than open, one slightly different elastics configuration on my left side, and springs closed rather than open (i guess to just maintain space rather than create more)

A few pictures before i get the Pontic, middle, right, then left.

Right side still more open than left and ortho noted 1mm Overjet and 2mm open bite, way less than i used to have even just 4 months ago.

Pontic got put in today, feels weird because the Pontic isnt shaped like my other front tooth on the back (my real front tooth has a slight inward curve, the Pontic doesn't), also because its been a long time since i lost that tooth.

But i feel so much better (i never felt like smiling before with a gap and all the problems i had before i started treatment, which are all gone or not as bad as before) not seeing a gap in the front, even if its just because of a temporary fake tooth, which is also slightly wonky, but my ortho said they will readjust it when i go back in for my next adjustment.

The thing that made it seem slow was that my Orthodontist seemed to be waiting on my front gap to increase to the right size before further correction of my top row of teeth, as soon as it was about that time they started putting new, stronger wires in again.

Oh yes it does, next appointment in June they are supposed to put a stronger wires on my top teeth and then in August I've got another appointment for them to see where to go from there.

It does seem like it, and it's so nice seeing the end in sight, maybe even just a few months away.

Great results. Hopefully you'll have a debrace date soon. My hubby just got an implant on the same front tooth. Good luck at your appointment!

Well, my end date got pushed back from August to September (if nothing else happens to push it back further) as the Ortho wanted to increase the space for the front implant slightly.

So hopefully next appointment on August 1st will be a powerchain and if needed a stronger wires to finish up, and then after my appointment in September I will have a debrace date.

Then I have to get the implant process started, so hopefully I'll be 100% done with the full process early next year.
