When you just start to feel "over it"

#1 Post by MrsCharisma »

Oh my gosh. I am into month 14 and for the first time I am just OVER MY BRACES!!! I feel so whiny today! LOL!

I just want to be finished. No more long flossing sessions. No more waking up with my lips "glued" to my brackets. I just want my smooth teeth.

Alright. Rant over.

I hear you! I'm just approaching my one year braces anniversary and I was just saying the same thing. I'm kinda done with all the extra planning and effort.

I can relate right now...I'm close to six months in and a couple days ago I just wanted to get these things off. I'm fine now hahahaha.

The feeling comes and goes every now and then.

umm yeah... I'm pretty sure I just thought this in my head. I'm 11-1/2 months in and about 8 days into elastics and I'm over it. lol It hasn't been too hard with elastics but it's more annoying since I can't eat with them in.

I think I really was over it when I realized that I would probably be stuck with retainers forever, if and when these torture devices ever are removed. Other special moments: When I try to apply a dab of wax, and it sticks to my fingers and not to the bracket. When I try to brush my teeth and forget to take out the elastics. When I am trying to apply an elastic and it flies off the hook and into my mouth somewhere.

I'll be 15 months into my grueling sentence on Thursday. I'm now 3 weeks post-op from my upper jaw surgery, with my mouth still banded shut, and still on a liquid diet. I'm over it RIGHT FREAKING NOW! I'm swollen still, hungry, I have a loose tooth from one of my elastics, and I still have up to 6-8 months left with braces!
Braces removed for 3rd and final time July 14, 2016!!!!

Permanent 8 crowns front 8 teeth (upper) January 30, 2015

Braces removed again December 3, 2014!!

Partial braces re-installation September 25, 2014

Braces removed September 4, 2014!

I haven't been in braces nearly as long, but I'm ready to be done. They look good to me. I've even been debating about demanding they be removed.

How right you are!!!!! Can I add to that the seemingly never ending dry lips all day causing them to stick on the brackets when trying to talk....???? So not attractive.... I must have chap stick and little boxes of that silicone wax stashed everywhere by now....
