Hey Kimmie :)

How is that beautiful smile coming along??!! Has your ortho given you any idea on how things are going? Still avoiding the headgear?

I so agree about not eating fish for a while after the braces come off!! And I think I will get fat on all the food I've been craving!!! I was a little naughty the other day... I got offered a piece of mint chocolate and it has been sooooooo long.... that I put it in my mouth and tried to melt it on my tongue!! Then I almost choked - lol!! Serves me right hey!!

Anyway I hope things are going fantastic and that your teeth are moving well :)!!!!! Take care and chat again soon!

Hi everyone,

I know I am so late on this update. Well, things seem to be moving along great. My last appointment was on June 4th and I have another one next Tuesday!! At my last appointment the ortho reactivated the lower arch and added some wire ties on the same arch to the molars. (Ouch!! :-+ :-= ) I was in pain for a couple of days. As you can tell from the pics my gaps on the lower arch have almost closed!! Also, I am having more of an over bite now as he is pushing the lowers backwards. Its hard for me to chew on my right side because my bite is off, so I spend much of my time chewing on the left side!! I have a gut feeling that elastics will come soon!!! Well, for now that is all. Hope everyone will take care and HAPPY TEETH MOVING. I chose teal ligs this time!!

I have missed you on here. Can you believe it is coming up on a year since our teeth have been in jail!!!!!! It is ok to be naughty sometimes. I have been the same way lately. I am glad that you did not choke on the mint!!! That would not have been good!!! I know I will gain at least 10 pounds when they come off. I hope everything is going well with you!!!!

Kimmie!! Hooray for gaps closing on the bottom :)! The front on shot looks like you're almost done!!! Elastics will help your bite heaps and things will start to feel like they fit together better for eating! Although I've been in them since October last year and I still get the 'odd bite' weeks!

Almost one year in jail already!! Can't believe it Kimmie!! Look how far we've come!!!! :jump:

Have a great week!!!

Hey everyone,

Well I had an adjustment on June 25. I can say it was very unpleasant. I had to stop at the store for some pain meds on my way home. :-= Nothing changed for my top arch as he is working heavily on my bottom arch. Well I had a 19 by 25 wire put on with space closers!! Boy did that put pressure on as they were going on. I had the wire out my mouth for a good 20 mins as he played around and made my new one. My teeth felt really weird without the wire on. It was like something was missing: THE WIRE. LOL I wonder if that's how it will feel when my braces finally come off. All I can say is the ortho tech told me my eyes looked like they were going to pop out my head as she was putting my new ligs on. I know I was squirming like a little worm in the chair. I added a pic of how the space closer look. I will upload more pics when the site I use comes back up. As you may see I chose orange and yellow ligs this time!!!!

Thanks so much. A lot of people do not like the yellow, but I actually love the yellow.

Looking good! They are so straight now, looks like we go them on around the same time and will be racing to finish too! I always love your pics though because of the beautiful coloured ligs you choose. I like the orange and yellow - so happy and sunny! Perfect for summer (shame its wintere here for me in the southern hemisphere)

Orange and yellow look heaps fun Kimmie!! Online they're always saying "yellow makes your teeth look yellow" but not at all in your case!! Unless the orange breaks it up a little???

Your ortho sounds like he loves to torture you!! (perhaps he has shares in a fish company... ;)) Hope the pain is paying off and you're seeing lots of things happening!!

CC!!
I really liked the yellow. Like you said it doesn't affect the colors of my teeth at all!! I am getting tortured all the time when I go there!! Hope everything is going well with you!!

Hey Everyone,
I had another adjustment today!! Even though I took pain meds before I went I was still in pain and I am still in pain. My ortho is working on closing the gaps on the lower arch so he added a wire tie on the wire over those spaces. As he was adding them on it felt like he was pulling them so close together I thought the spaces were being closed then. (Not really, but that's what it felt like.) As of now I am still in pain. I tried eating chicken and rice and was only able to get the rice down. So it will be smoothies for me. My next appointment is on August 6 and I can't wait because I DO NOT like my lig colors. I thought I would try out the black and silver because they are the basic colors and as you guys know I love my vibrant colors!! Maybe the colors will grow on me over the next 3 weeks. I hope everyone is doing great!! Happy teeth moving until next time.
