I just got braces 5 days ago and between the flossing nightmares, the discomfort, and the inability to eat, I am wondering what I have done! Don't worry we all went through this phase. It it just that, a phase. You're almost at the point where the pain subsides and you learn how 2 chew again and gradually start eating regular food.

I'm about 2months in and trust me, i've made the right decision.

Hi Alicia,

Welcome to the board!! You will find great support on here. We all are just like a family. I had my top braces put on on July 19th and I go next Tuesday to have the bottoms done. I know what the pain is like of not eating. Since I had the top put on I have lost 10lbs. I found that out yesterday when I went to the doctor. It will get better soon. Feel free to vent on here as we are always here to listen and help eachother out. I hope everything get better soon. Keep us updated.
