They look sooo good! That is so neat how they even change how your lips look when you smile.

It is neat isn't it? I love my smile now. And...it has totally changed the shape of my lips, they're fuller and not just because the braces are under them. There's all kinds of positive things that happen when you straighten your teeth.

Wow, such an amazing progress! Your teeth and smile look truly fabulous! When is your debrace date? With the way your teeth look now, I cannot imagine you will wear braces much longer
Had full mouth metal braces for 21 months. Debonded April 2013. Now wearing clear plastic retainers every other night.

Thank you Archwired28! I actually haven't gotten an official de-brace date. All I know at this point is "things are on track" and that's the most I can hope for...maybe I'll get lucky and have them off in 18 months...which is 6 months from now :)

WOW!!! You have an amazing smile. It's only been 3 months for me. I think I'll do somersaults and cartwheels when I reach the one year mark.
Who takes the regular photos of your teeth? These are good close up shots. I should be doing this. Take care, great blog too, I enjoyed having a look there as well :)

Thanks gres1061! The last year flew by, I still can't believe it's been a year but I'm so glad that it's going by fast!

I take the pictures myself. I use the super-macro setting on my camera and sit in front of the mirror so I can see the camera screen. It takes practice and it also takes numerous shots to get a good one...and I do mean numerous. One time I had 50+ pictures to get the three I end up using.

You should take pictures of your mouth, it's very encouraging to see the changes going on from week to week.

Thanks for the compliment on my blog. :D

And thank you lau, I think it looks pretty good too if I say so myself!

It's been a while since I posted an update. I can't believe that I've been wearing braces for 2 years and 4 months...wow! But I am so fanatically thrilled with the progress. And guess what? I have a REMOVAL DATE SET!!! September 4th, just 25 short days away. I'm trying not to get too excited because there is still a few little tweaks we're hoping will be finished...but I have to admit I'm hopefully optimistic about the date...but guarded.

Before I post the progress photo, I wanted to tell y'all I gave my blog a makeover, renamed it, got a new web address and just posted a new update on there with a LOT more photos so I invite y'all to check that out too.

Image

WOW!!! I know right? I'm already looking forward to the next phase of my whole mouth transformation!

I hope y'all are well and have a great weekend!

Crazy, that's just crazy! I'm amazed how nicely your midline on the bottom was pulled to center. They look fabulous!!

So it looks like you have an arch wire, power chains, ligs, and some other wire thing behind it. It doesn't look like the lacing I had. It looks almost square on the bottom sides of the brackets. Describe what it is.

Edit: never mind....I see that you explain it all in your blog. Good work!

What fantastic progress, they're looking great. And really like you are finishing with the same / similar colour ligs as when you started.
