I just checked out your blog. Congrats on an easy bracing! You're teeth look quite nice right now so anything that needs fixing must be below the surface!

Hi Kimmie-

Congrats to you!! I just checked out your blog, and I agree with luchababe - your teeth look really nice NOW. They're nice and white, and almost perfectly aligned already. Just imagine how stunningly beautiful they'll look in 2 years (or... 727 more days...)

I'm also dealing with gap closure, so I'll warn you: be very patient. :) They've been closing mine since June, and I still have a ways to go. But the progress between last month and now has been astonishing. Your extraction gaps don't look nearly as big as mine did. BRING ON THE POWERCHAINS!!

I'm looking forward to following your progress!

Hi Cathy! Thanks so much for your kind words! :) I keep looking to see if there's any minor movements yet and nope--LOL, I can be a tad bit impatient! How long is your treatment?

I hope that didn't sound like the kind of comment we hate to hear "You don't need braces"! I figured if you have decent teeth to start with, they can only get better and better...

He said "about 2 years". I was really hoping this gap would close quickly so my sentence could be shorter, but it looks like I'll be pretty close to that 2-year mark. After gap closure, comes bite and midline placement.

I started seeing minor improvement in my crooked lower teeth after about 4 weeks. It's great that you're taking pics and keeping track of your progress. I take my pics every month around the same day. For fun, at month 5 I did a side-by-side comparison pic from day 1 until then, and the results were astonishing. They're all in my story, if you ever get bored, or discouraged from "no progress".

did you consult a periodontist about your bones? will you have enough bone to move teeth into the gaps?

Your teeth are so nice! Nice shape and so shiny and white :) They'll look excellent when you are finished treatment.

The time really does go so fast. I can't believe I am almost at the 3 month mark.

I thought I was given an awesome dentistry kit, but yours is just amazing.

Good luck with your treatment and hope you continue to update.

Thanks that's so nice :)

My treatment is set for 24 months, but they are going pretty well at the moment so hopefully not too much longer!

Good luck with everything.
