Thanx Equaeternal. Its getting better every day. No stitches for me. I was able to eat my favourite brace face food today, french fries loaded with gravy left to sit til mushy! For all who have not tried this, you really must.

Now for the pictures!

Due to my facial structure I think these metal lowers are just as noticeable as if they were on my uppers. Note the light stains on my upper clears. I shoulda went with all metal. Oh well, too late. Also of note that wonky canine is leading the pack in straightening itself out--good for you canine!

Here is a shot of the lowers- you probably can't see the molar bite bumps, which are really just bits of white filling material. I can't wait to see those gaps close.

This is the side with the wonky canine- me thinks its going to need to be shaved down to the shape of the other one.

I think I am going to make a little movie of the front shot of my teeth after I am all done, showing my teeth move in fast forward

Update!!!! :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

My teeth aren't hurting at all anymore. The extraction sites have healed very nicely and best of all....for the time being I am eating whatever I want. (okay, so still no corn on the cob, but I can eat a sandwich)
I will post some photos right before my next adjustment on the 21st. They are really a movin it seems. The lowers are slowly untangling themselves. The wonky canine is exactly where I want it. The central incisors are lining up nicely together, (one was out a smidge further than before) :D

I got my teeth cleaned a week and a half ago. I don't think its as effective as when they are unbraced, but they look great. No pain, sensitivity or bleeding. All I can say is floss, it really makes these trips easier. I usually go once a year, but I'm stepping it up to every four months til I get these things off.
She could not get the stains off my front brackets. I will have to learn to live with that. No comments non smokers, please and thanks.

I should have the new pics up in a few days.....
And I can't wait for my new wire!!!

.
Jenniebaby, I did not realize that Damonds could be so clear! They do look great.
Btw my bite is just like yours. I have InOvation C.
Yours look better. But my ortho prefered InOvation C for my case.

Jenniebaby, why did you have extractions? Did you have any upper teeth extracted also? I thought you said you had a small lower jaw they would want to expand it, instead they extracted teeth? why? did you have jaw surgery in the end?
Like I said my bite looks very similar. I was promised to have non extraction treatment. I have crowding and overjet of the upper teeth and small lower jaw with a little bit crowding. They are going to try to expand my lower jaw by rounding it and then IPR on the upper. Then elastics to work on overjet and bringing my lower teeth up fron a bit. God knows if that will work for me though.

So sorry I haven't posted any photos in a while. Been very busy with work and all sorts of other things. I am going to post photos this week I promise myself - no matter what.

RedDress- I don't know why the ortho went and pulled my lower teeth. I know i had no room at all and they couldn't even get the expanders in to put on brackets so something had to go. The first ortho I saw wanted to remove a central incisor, I thought that wasn't a good idea so I went with the ortho who thought a proper midline was important. I haven't had surgery yet....god only knows when they will do that. My ortho doesn't reccomend IPR for someone as old as me(29) , although the braces have made my upper arch seem wider. I dont know if it is though. I think I will have elastics eventually to do something, they mentioned it, but I'm not sure when or why. I will have power chains, probably in two or four months to close up the gaps ( I can't wait I hate the gaps, I keep accidentally biting on them and it rips my wire out of all the brackets on that side) I didn't know damons used power chains, but I guess they do.

Oh yes! I had stains on my clear damons! For all u non smokers , please do not post messages about the evils of smoking!
My hygienist tried to get the stains off with no luck. I have found the cure. Sensodyne whitening toothpaste, but not the usually tube. Its some kind of foamy toothpaste that comes sort of like shaving foam. Wow does that get rid of stains! I think i got it at walmart. It even got the stain that was inside the bracket! I don't know if it works on other types of stains, but tobacco no problem.

Thought I'd share that with you all!

(Please don't post that I need to quit smoking for surgery either. I know that, obviously!!)

I read that you were going to your Dentist for a Phrophy in four months. I opted less than six months my first time after braces and my insurance paid nothing. I then went to the regular six month with no issues, however I work pretty hard to keep everything clean. Your choice, just wanted to make you aware.
