Thanks for the congrats. The elastics worked well on closing the gaps faster. There was some soreness at first but it is ok now.

Take care,
Dave

Hey everyone,

Its day 279 of my journey.

I had my 6th adjustment today. I now have figure 8's instead of the powerchains. The figure 8's are behind my top wire. They said that all of the gaps are closed from my extractions so they put on the figure 8's to keep the teeth in position.

Also I am now only wearing my elastics 8 - 10 hours a day. They want to see if my teeth move without the elastics on all of the time.

Here is a pics of my teeth with the figure 8's:

Happy Holidays everyone!,
Take care,
-Dave

Hey everybody,

It is day 321 of my journey. I had my 7th adjustment today. Nothing major to report. I am now only wearing the elastics on my left side for 8-10 hours a day and they changed/adjusted my bottom wire.

Take care,
-Dave

Hey everyone,

Its day 363 of my journey. Nothing major to report. I am not wearing elastics anymore. :-) Also I now have something they call criss-cross 3-3 on my bottom front six teeth. It looks like a powerchain. Just fine tuning now.

Here is a pic today:

Hey everyone,

Well its day 490 of my journey. I forgot to post about my 9th adjustment on April 28th. I had my top wire replaced because my orthodontist wanted to put some torque on one of my front teeth.

I had my 10th adjustment today. He said that everything is looking good but he wanted to put some brackets on my back teeth to adjust them better. I will be getting that done on September 1st.

Well take care everyone,
-Dave-

Hey everybody,

It is day 549 of my journey. I had my 11th adjustment on Tuesday. They put brackets on my back molars on the left side. Those teeth are being pretty sensitive now. I did get to brush and floss when they had the wire off. That was nice. Well have a great holiday weekend everyone!

Take care,
-Dave

Braces off - 112 days early!

#75 Post by redwingzfan »

Hey everyone,

I got my braces off on Wednesday, November 11th.
I was supposed to get them off on March 4, 2010 so this was 112 days early! I had them on for 617 days total.
I will be getting my Hawley retainers this Wednesday.

Here is the before and after picture:
